Irish Girl Guides CLG is commited to ensuring that all children and young people in our care are protected from harm of all kinds. Safeguarding is our highest priority. A lot of care and atention to detail goes into making guiding happen safely and ensuring that our young members’ needs are balanced and considered.
Irish Girl Guides CLG values its members and has a programme aimed at the development of girls and young women in which all aspects of unsociable behaviour including bullying, harassment and abuse are unacceptable. Our Leaders are trained to implement our programme in which the needs of the girl are a priority.
All our policies and procedures operate within the framework of Irish Girl Guide CLG’s mission statement and supports our aims and objectves in providing a safe environment for our members. Safeguarding policies and good practices are an integral part of providing a safe environment. Our policies and procedures are drafted to emphasize that the welfare of the child is of paramount importance.
Our rigorous recruitment and vetting processes and policies help keep our members safe. We comply with all legislative requirements and continually review and strengthen our safeguarding procedures coupled with bespoke safeguarding training to create and maintain a safe space for all.
